I started Payment Due as sort of a joke a few years ago but it evolved into what is now a true musical project. It's just me and a guitar and my PC. My songs are acoustic in nature and currently have an underlying theme relating to death, abandonment, suicide or being disgraced in some form or fashion. Hence the name of my first record, Death and Disgrace. I've played in a few bands that gelled, and a few that really didn't. I decided to focus on an solo acoustic project because it gives me the ability to really control what I want to write and play without interference from others. It's a nice way to explain how you feel about something without people asking questions about the something in question. I'm currently the drummer for a local Austin band but I keep some of my musical focus on Payment Due when I have the time.
